India When England were looking for a moment of enchantment, A was there. Tom Haines, the Lions' opener, had a lot of runs against them at the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury, but they only got one magical moment when Sarfaraz Khan made a stunning diving catch at slip to help get the batter out for 171.

Haines tried to drive a fuller ball through the off-side since Shardul Thakur was bowling and has not taken a wicket in the innings. With just Sarfaraz in a one-man slip cordon, the batter sprang to his left with lightning-quick reflexes as his bat caught a thick edge. After England Lions had dominated the innings up to that point, Sarfaraz took a huge chance by extending his left hand and providing India a chance to get back into the game.

The 93-run stand Haines had with Dan Mousley for the sixth wicket, which had kept India at bay, came to an end when he was dismissed. Following a pair of swift wickets in quick succession earlier in the day.

It should be noted that Sarfaraz Khan has been focusing on his fitness throughout the past several months. In under two months, the Mumbai batter lost 10 kg prior to being selected for India.

The game between IND A and the ENG Lions is approaching a tie.

Having been left out of the Test team, Sarfaraz maintained his case for inclusion: he showed the results of his labor with this catch, after images of the 27-year-old batsman appearing fitter and trimmer had been released following his offseason workout.

Previously criticized for being a little lazy and sloppy in the field, the wicketkeeper by trade displayed all the skill and assurance of that additional spring in his step during a spectacular grab. His India had a reason to rejoice at that time. As many of his teammates crowded around him to congratulate him on his role in the dismissal, he was a teammate.

Sarfaraz had previously come close to scoring a century himself, scoring 92 in the first innings and making an impression with the bat. He also gave Karun Nair excellent help as he approached his double century.

At the conclusion of day three of the warm-up match, Mousley scored a century of his own but was outed by Nair on the final ball, leaving the England Lions just 30 runs behind India's total and with three wickets in hand. On day three, Mukesh Kumar rebounded by taking three of India A's five wickets, making it a better day for him.
