Sarfaraz Khan Hammers Rapid Century as Agarkar and Laxman Watch; Bumrah Goes Without a Wicket

Although Sarfaraz Khan, a right-handed batsman, was not included in India's lineup for the five-match series against England, he is doing all possible to win over Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of the BCCI selection committee. During the second day of the intra-squad game against India, Sarfaraz represented India. A scored 101 runs in 76 balls in Beckenham, hitting 15 fours and two sixes. Eventually, the 27-year-old retired out.
It's important to note that the intra-squad game, which is taking place behind closed doors, is being attended by VVS Laxman, the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and Ajit Agarkar. The action does not unfold in front of fans or media.
Many people were surprised by Sarfaraz Khan's dismissal from the main India team. The young player, however, shrugged off the exclusion and scored 92 runs during the first unofficial Test between England Lions and India A in Canterbury.
Sarfaraz has so far appeared in six Test matches for India, scoring 371 runs at an average of 37.10, including a half-century against New Zealand in Bengaluru. However, he has not played for India since then, as he lost the next two Tests against the Kiwis.
The right-hander then missed out on the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, which India lost 1-3. Sarfaraz even shed 10 kg prior to the series against England. He was putting in a lot of effort, training against the swinging ball. But he was let down when he was excluded from the 18-man team for the five-match series against England, which started on June 20.
Jasprit Bumrah fails to take a wicket
Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna each took two wickets on the second day of the intra-squad match, while Jasprit Bumrah went without a wicket.
Nonetheless, Siraj's performance was disappointing. He gave up more than seven runs every over. Although not much should be inferred as the team prepares for the series against England, Bumrah also allowed five runs every over.
Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket as well, getting Abhimanyu Easwaran, an India A batsman, out for 39.
India A concluded Day 2 at 299/6, still 160 runs behind India, after Ishan Kishan scored 45 runs off 55 deliveries and Sai Sudharsan scored 38 runs off 60 balls with seven fours.
India batted first on Day 1, with KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill each scoring fifties.
