What occurred when the Oklahoma City Thunder last reached the NBA championship?

In 2012, the Oklahoma City Thunder last competed in the NBA finals. They faced the Big Three and the Miami Heat. Following their defeat in the 2011 NBA Finals, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh were determined to win a title.

The trio was too much for Oklahoma to handle, and the team fell in the 2012 Finals with a score of 4-1. However, it was the strongest group of players the franchise had ever created. For a significant amount of time, they would continue to be among the best teams in the Western Conference.

Even the Thunder's own big three of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden were unable to complete the task. Their victory in the first game of the series, which was decisive, gave people even more optimism.

Thunder then proceeded to drop every one of the following four games, and the series came to a conclusion in the fifth game. The Indiana Pacers, who have never won an NBA championship in their history, are OKC's opponent this time.
