June 2, India The Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers scenario has fueled further conjecture around Mike Tomlin's squad, which undoubtedly needs a wide receiver option for their expected quarterback.

The Steelers' transaction of George Pickens just made the demand all the more obvious. According to reports, the Steelers have contacted the Miami Dolphins about tight end Jonnu Smith and may be speaking with the Atlanta Falcons about Kyle Pitts. There were also rumors of a reunion with Marcedes Lewis, who played with Rodgers in Green Bay. However, this is untrue.

On the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams, Mercedes Lewis discussed the potential of reuniting with Rodgers, stating that he and the Steelers had not discussed the matter.

"A-Rod has always brought it up. He said, "Hey, we gotta retire together," even when we were in Green Bay. We haven't discussed playing with the Steelers, no," Lewis stated.

Even though Lewis is 41 years old, he was in shape for every one of the Chicago Bears' 17 games last season. The Steelers definitely need to locate Pickens' successor, even if he may not be there to help the new quarterback.

Mercedes Lewis and Aaron Rodgers were teammates for the Green Bay Packers for five seasons. The partnership between Lewis and the Bears lasted from 2018 until 2022. Together, the pair had 57 catches for 582 yards and six scores.
