As the Oklahoma City Thunder continue to battle the Indiana Pacers for the championship, Jay-Z has also gotten involved, and there is a lot of money at stake in the NBA finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were heavy favorites to win the 2025 NBA Finals before Game 1, with BetMGM offering odds of -700.

Jay-Z placed a large seven-figure wager on the Thunder, betting $1 million that the team would win the NBA finals in five games. Jay-Z placed the wager at Fanatics Sportsbook with +230 odds, and he would have won $3.3 million if his NBA Finals prediction had come true.

However, Jay-Z has already been defeated the most. The Thunder must win at least Game 6 to claim the NBA championship since the series is now 2-1 in favor of the Indiana Pacers.

An additional seven-figure bet was placed on the series when an MGM customer in Las Vegas wagered $1.05 million on the Thunder to win the series at -700 odds. Will the Thunder come back in the upcoming games to at least help that bettor win some money?

What has transpired in the NBA Finals thus far?

Tyrese Haliburton's game-winning shot with 0.3 seconds remaining propelled the Indiana Pacers to a 111-110 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the NBA finals. After losing Game 3 in Indianapolis on Wednesday night, 116-107, the Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back with a 123-107 victory in Game 2.

Thus far, the Thunder are behind but not yet defeated. However, stopping Tyrese Haliburton and company from making the series too far uphill for the visitors to overcome will be a challenge for them.

At BetMGM, the Thunder are favored by 6.5 points with a game total of 225.5 for Friday night's Game 4. Despite being behind 2-1 in the series, the Thunder remain -250 favorites to win the Finals at BetMGM.
