In the second game of the NBA Finals on Sunday, Tyrese Haliburton, the star of the Indiana Pacers' Game 1 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder, had a hard time leading his team. Frustrated Pacers supporters begged the star guard to 'wake up,' pointing out that he appeared worn out during the game at the Paycom Center.

By the time there were only 5:30 left in the third quarter, OKC had kept Haliburton to just three points and four assists, and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had already reached the 20-point threshold. At the moment of this writing, the score was 79–60 in Oklahoma's favor.

"Tyrese Haliburton better be glad he made that big shot in Game 1 because he's playing poorly today and, to be honest, that great game 1 either. He has to step it up!" one admirer posted on the social media site previously known as Twitter.

Haliburton was given the go-ahead to play for the Pacers in their Sunday matchup against the Thunder in Game 2. For the previous contest, he wasn't listed as hurt. He played for 39 minutes in game 1 without showing any sign of pain.

The Pacers would have been overwhelming favorites for the Finals if they had won Game 2.

"The path to arrive here all year has not been about reaching the finals," Haliburton stated in advance of Sunday's game. "It's a day at a time, especially after the beginning of the year.
