The eagerly awaited first single, Whistle Podu, from Vijay’s upcoming sci-fi actioner The Greatest of All Time is out! The makers of the film, who promised to treat the fans with the new single, have unveiled the official song on Tamil New Year. Crooned by Thalapathy Vijay and composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the song is a total party number! The song begins with a fun banter between Prabhu Deva and Thalapathy Vijay. Later Vijay takes centre stage to sing the peppy number which has The GOAT squad – Prashanth, Prabhu Deva and Ajmal Amir shaking a leg. The hook line ‘Nanbi Namba, whistle podu’ has fans going gaga over the song!  

What kind of party is Vijay referring to in his single?

The interesting factor noted by fans is that some of the lines have a strange connection with the actor’s political debut. In the first interaction, when Vijay says ‘campaign’ and Prabhu Deva asks if he said campaign, Vijay corrects him, saying that he said champagne and not campaign. The first line of the song is ‘Party onnu thodangatuma?’ (translation: shall we begin a party), has amazed fans with the actor’s subtle way of indicating his political debut.  

Although not revealed explicitly, the lyrics of the new song have fans wondering if the song is a debut number for his political party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. Vijay had announced in February that he would be floating a political party, TVK. Nonetheless, Tamil fans have got yet another Thalapathy single to dance to for the next couple of months! 

The GOAT release date is out!

The makers of the Venkat Prabhu directorial revealed recently that Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated project is slated to hit the big screens on September 5, 2024, as a Ganesh Chaturthi special release. The team had initially planned to release the movie in June, coinciding with Vijay’s 50th birthday. However, it was later delayed due to the extensive post-production and VFX works, which are currently progressing in Los Angeles and Chennai. Other major updates on the projects, including the character posters and official teaser, are expected to be out very soon.
