The film maker’s latest project Heeramandi is no different. Right from the time, the series had got announced, all the eyes are set on it, so much so that, this has become one of the most eagerly awaited shows of the recent times.

Today, the makers of Heeramandi dropped the spectacular first song from the series. Titled ‘Azadi’, the track has everything to make it an anthem of sorts. After dropping the said track on social media by Netflix, they captioned the same stating, Yeh jung sirf ishq aur huqumat ki nahi, har haal mein AZADI paane ki hai! #Azadi Song Out Now! Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar premieres 1st May, only on Netflix!’.

Just like any other Bhansali project, Heeramandi bears the quintessential stamp of being a ‘SLB’ project. The said track has been sung by a bunch of singers in the form of Archana Gore, Pragati Joshi, Aditi Prabhudesai, Arohi, Aditi Paul, Tarannum Malik Jain, Dipti Rege. The song, which starts off on a solo note, goes onto culminate into a chorus track. The vibes and the resonance that it offers is totally unparalleled. The said track, eventually starts growing yon you after repeated listening. The lyrics of the track ‘Azadi’ goes as ‘Humein dekhni hai aazaadi, har haal mein humein dekhi hai…’

The said track shows the bunch of leading ladies (Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh and many others) forming a group with a burning torch in their hands and seeking ‘freedom’ from the suppressors.
