Currently, I am: Doing shows in India and abroad and enjoying singing my latest song Chal Ve Watna from Dunki.

High point in life: Professionally, when I received the IIFA Award for Best Male Playback Singer for Jashna E Bahara Hai (Jodhaa Akbar 2009). Personally, the birth of my daughter.

Low point in life: I have felt a bit low when I worked hard on a song and that project got shelved but that’s life.

On my playlist: Music by Mehdi Hasan, Mohammed Rafi and Whitney Houston.

One thing I would never buy: An award.

Today I am craving: Mom’s korma, and my wife’s mutton chaap.

The last thing I ordered online: Apple EarPods.

Advice I’d give my 18-year-old self: Concentrate on what you are doing.

My favourite subject in school: English.

My secret skill: I’m a fantastic mimic.

My favourite Sunday memory: Spending time with family and friends, especially on day picnics.

My plans for next Sunday: .Family time, maybe dinner. I have been travelling a lot, recently.

My most star-struck moment: Ustad Ghulam Ali saab is the inspiration behind my love for music. I was excited when I met him as a kid.

My favourite bad habit: Binge-watching when I should really be sleeping.

If I could travel back or forward in time: I would go back and spend more time with my late Dad.

The best thing about fame: The love and blessings that your fans shower.

The worst thing about fame: It can take over the mind, and make you forget humility and being grounded.
