Thudarum, Malayalam megastar Mohanlal's second smash of the year, is scheduled to have its much-awaited OTT launch this week. The newest Malayalam film, directed by Tharun Moorthy, the director of Operation Java, will be available on JioHotstar on May 30, 2025. In addition, the blockbuster thriller will be accessible for online streaming in Telugu and Hindi.

Thudarum by Mohanlal on OTT

On April 25, 2025, Mohanlal made his comeback to the big screen with Thudarum, following the amazing success of the Lucifer sequel Empuraan. Thudarum will be available on JioHotstar in five languages on Friday following a fantastic theatrical run. The OTT platform allows Malayalam movie buffs to view the film in their preferred language. In addition to Malayalam, the movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Thudarum storyline and actors

The protagonist of the film is Mohanlal, who plays Shanmugham, a taxi driver nicknamed "Benz" by his loved ones. In a little village in Kerala, he resides with his family, consisting of his wife and two children. Shobana portrays Lalitha, his wife, and brings the legendary on-screen duo back together. George Sir, a senior police officer, is the major villain in Prakash Varma's debut performance in Thudarum. Following a chain of events, their roads intersect, and Benz swears to bring down those who hurt his family.

Benz's buddies are Irshad Ali and Maniyanpilla Raju, while his kids are Thomas Mathew and Amritha Varshini. Binu Pappu and Farhaan Faasil play cops who disagree with Benz. Premalu fame's Sangeeth Prathap also has a little part in the film.

Following his National Award-winning film, Saudi Vellakka, Tharun Moorthy directed Thudarum. Thudarum, which made over Rs 200 crore at the box office, was written by K R Sunil.

Sathyan Anthikad is the director of Mohanlal's upcoming Malayalam film, Hridayapoorvam. The much-anticipated movie, which also stars Sangeeth Prathap, casts Malavika Mohanan as the female protagonist. During Onam 2025, theaters will release Hridayapoorvam.
