On May 30, 2025, JioHotstar will launch the highly anticipated OTT version of Mohanlal's film Thudarum. Tharun Moorthy, the director of Operation Java, directed the Malayalam movie, which had amazing box office results and earned rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. The last box office receipts

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Tharun Moorthy's Thudarum raked in Rs 5.25 crore on its debut day, April 25, 2025. Due to the initially favourable reviews for the movie, which was released in theatres with very little publicity, the box office receipts for the Mohanlal-starred film have been increasing ever since. The movie was also dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu. According to figures on the Sacnilk website, Thudarum earned the blockbuster moniker after generating a global revenue of Rs 233.5 crore in 33 days at the ticket window.

This is only the second Mohanlal movie to get the label, which is noteworthy. The Sacnilk website also reported that Mohanlal's Empuraan, the sequel to the 2019 Lucifer, had previously had a successful run at the box office, earning a total of Rs 266.75 crore in global revenue.

On OTT, Thudarum

Since Thudarum has arrived on OTT, audiences who missed the picture in theatres and Lalettan lovers have switched to JioHotstar to see it. Some of the viewers have begun publishing their favourite scenes from the Mohanlal film. One of the most shared scenes on the internet is when an emotional Benz (Mohanlal) breaks down in tears in the restroom, slips, and falls.

The online community has also given a lot of affection and praise to Mohanlal's combat scenes at the police station.

Mohanlal portrays Benz Shanmugham, who embarks on a vengeance quest after someone hurts his beloved, in the film for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Prakash Varma complements Mohanlal in the film by bringing his A-game and enhancing KR Sunil's narrative with his acting. Along with Farhaan Faasil and Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu is a crucial component of this movie. Benz's beloved family is made up of Amritha Varshini, Thomas Mathew, and Shobana.
