About Bibhishon

Bibhishon is a Bengali thriller web series scheduled for streaming on Z5 from June 27. In the series, Soham Majumdar plays sub-Inspector Bidhan Sen, a sharp yet troublesome officer, and Debchandrima Singh Roy plays his wife, Brishti. 

Set in the seemingly quiet town of Birbhum, Bibhishon progresses through a series of unsettling events, including a strange theft, a missing person, and the discovery of a headless body. When Bidhan investigates, he uncovers a shocking truth about the criminal who was his close associate.

Apart from Soham Majumdar and Debchandrima Singha Roy, the supporting cast includes Amit Saha as Chidam Tudu, and other talented actors like Debopriyo Mukherjee, Katha Nandi, Sanjib Sarkar, Pradip Dhar, Subrata Guha Roy, Aloke Sanyal, and Arpita De. 

Directed by Raja Chanda, Bibhishon is set to focus on mind-blowing twists, emotional events, dark and intense story that will surely keep the audience hooked.

Sharing the trailer, the streaming platform captioned it in Bengali, "Mystery, murder, truth, lies, everything is getting more strong. Coming up this year's first Bengali series - A thrilling story of red soil, 'Bibhishan', only on #ZEE5."

The story is written by Prameet A Ghosh, and Rathijit Bhattacharjee has created a background score that doesn't just grab attention but gets under your skin. On the other hand, MD Kalam has edited it with Moumita Chatterjee, as the Creative Producer. This series promises a dark and suspenseful narrative, where the lines between good and evil, truth and lies, become increasingly blurred.

Bibhishon premieres on June 27 on Z5 (OTTplay Premium).
