Prepare yourself for a captivating investigative thriller series because Chhal Kapat - The Deception is soon to be available on OTT. The series takes place in the setting of a small wedding in Burhanpur, where the celebration turns deadly after the unexplained demise of one of the bride's closest companions. The series' release date was at last announced by the producers on May 31.

ZEE5 released a poster of Chhal Kapat - The Deception on their official Instagram account, showing Shriya Pilgaonkar portraying a police officer. The streaming service announced that the show will premiere on June 6 via a poster it shared. When it's released, it will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium.

"Murky motives. Dark truths. One fierce cop. #ChhalKapatTheDeception premieres 6th June, only on #ZEE5," the streaming site wrote as a caption for the post.

The Deception is a crime thriller series that takes place during a wedding in Burhanpur, where a murder turns the celebration into a mystery.

Inspector Devika, a police officer looking into the matter, is played by Shriya Pilgaonkar in the series. She begins her quest to find any treachery and secrets among the partygoers. The distinction between belief and suspicion blurs as the inquiry goes, and everyone becomes a possible suspect. Ragini Dwivedi, Tuhina Das, Yahve Sharma, Pranay Pachauri, and Smaran Sahu are also featured in the series.

The series' trailer seems promising, with Shriya working hard to uncover the truth under the direction of Ajay Bhuyan and under the production of Juggernaut Productions.

Chhal Kapat with Ragini Dwivedi

Ragini Dwivedi discussed her series, Chhal Kapat, in an interview with OTTplay. She said it's a story of four pals that follows the events surrounding a destination wedding, including a murder. "The story is all about how it happened and eventually leads to the who, with a lot of twists and turns along the way. The main plot centers on these four pals, one of whom I portray, and ultimately there are nine suspects, she added.
