Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has discussed how her perspective on success has changed throughout the years. In a recent interview, the actor offered a deeply introspective perspective on the true meaning of success, reflecting on the personal change she has experienced both emotionally and professionally.

Samantha's success is freedom to grow

Samantha, whose most recent film was Kushi in 2023, told Galatta Plus that she now defines success in terms of liberty rather than popularity or production.

"Nowadays, freedom is how I define success. The right to pause for two years. "I haven't had a film release in two years. I have the freedom to develop, the freedom to change, and the freedom to not be confined to a particular genre," stated Samantha.

Samantha, who was last seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny on Amazon Prime last year, said that this newfound sense of freedom is about making room for self-discovery and redefining her course at her own speed. Samantha stated that she feels more successful now than ever, despite how the public may view it.

"Compared to my past self, I’m probably not seen as a success by many people around me right now. However, I believe I am more successful in my mind than ever before. Samantha stated, "I am joyful and thrilled to wake up every day because of the many things I'm doing that really appeal to me and align with my purpose," highlighting that success is now determined by how closely her work and life align with her inner beliefs, rather than by external validation.

Regarding Samantha's future endeavors

Samantha has many upcoming projects, such as the action fantasy series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, which she is co-producing with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for Netflix. Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat also appear in it.

Samantha started her production firm, Tralala Moving Pictures, and released the first film under the label, Subham, in May of this year. She also has an action thriller called Maa Inti Bangaram, which she is co-producing.
