In a recent interview, actor Muzammil Ibrahim disclosed that he had been in a relationship with Deepika Padukone for two years. He discussed every aspect of their relationship with Siddharth Kannan, including the "cute" dates they would go on, albeit reluctantly at first. This is what he said.

When questioned about his connection to Deepika, given that she is now married, Muzammil appeared reluctant to answer. But he explained the course of their relationship, saying that they first met when they were both models and that she was by his side as he became famous.

"She was the first girl I met in Bombay, and she was my first serious relationship," he stated. Prior to that, I had a terrible relationship. Being Prakash Padukone's daughter gave her a lot of confidence since even at that time, articles about her would be published. I ended our relationship after she proposed to me. At the time, she was an up-and-coming model, and I was a celebrity. She's a celebrity now; nobody knows me.

When Muzammil brought Deepika on the dates

A few years after they split up, Muzammil said that they continued to be close friends and maintained contact via phone, but that they had not communicated since her marriage. "It was really adorable when we were youngsters dating and would go out on rainy dates on a rickshaw. She was thrilled that I was earning more money than her when I finally purchased a vehicle. Even though we didn't have much money, we were really content. On her birthday, I even had my DJ buddy play her favorite song on repeat for an hour and a half. The actor said, "My mother loved her very much."

He said that he was never envious of her development and that, with maturity, he is now pleased to see her succeed. Deepika and Ranveer Singh are now parents to Dua, whom she has always wished for, and Muzammil said that she has a kind spouse in him.

Muzammil was named Mr. India at the Gladrags Manhunt India competition in 2003. He met Deepika at this point.
