The third film in the Aashiqui series, Aashiqui 3, which features Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela, might not be released in cinemas during Diwali 2025 as initially scheduled. The film is said to be directed by Anurag Basu and is scheduled to be released on February 13, 2026, just before Valentine's Day.

Manufacturing halt as a result of scheduling issues

Since filming started in March of this year, around 40% of it has been completed. Unfortunately, filming has stopped because the lead actor and director are engaged in other projects. Metro... In Dino, which Basu produced, is scheduled for release on July 4, while Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Mera, has started production.

According to a source who spoke with THR India, the next schedule for Aashiqui 3 is anticipated to begin in August. The filmmakers will not be able to complete the picture in September and get it ready for an October release if they adhere to the existing schedule.

Kartik For the part, Aaryan has two distinct appearances.

Aaryan's character in Aashiqui 3 is said to have two distinct looks. The sections of the shoot that featured his beard and long hair have already occurred. According to the insider, he now has short hair for Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Mera, but in Aashiqui 3, he will have a short and long beard.

Due to the intense romance of Aashiqui 3 and its occurrence on Valentine's Day weekend, manufacturers are likely to focus on February 13, 2026.

The official release date is still up for grabs.

Those familiar with the production say that, in spite of ongoing rumors, the project is still planned for a Diwali release and that there have been no changes to the schedule.

Bhushan Kumar is the producer of Aashiqui 3, the most recent entry in the popular and well-received Aashiqui film franchise. Pritam, the composer who has previously composed the scores for Metro... In Dino and past entries, will return to write the score for this film.
