During a recent promotional event, Kamal Haasan was asked whether the audiences can expect a combination of Kamal Haasan with Mohanlal and Mammootty.
"It is Mammootty sir whom we are missing out on. But Mohanlal and I have done films. It 's not enough though. But we will do. They know that I am open to it,” Kamal Haasan explained.

However, the seasoned actor was quick to emphasize the need for excellent narratives. “They are wonderful performers, and you can’t waste them. You can’t waste great actors like that just for a star combination,” he continued.

To the uninitiated, Kamal Haasan and Lucifer star Mohanlal co-starred in the Tamil movie Unnaipol Oruvan. It is a remake of the Hindi film, which is called A Wednesday. Kamal Haasan plays the role of the unknown caller, while Mohanlal portrays DGP Raghavan Maraar.

Manorathangal, an anthology series, also featured Kamal Haasan as the narrator. The collection gathered the most well-known figures in Malayalam, such as Parvathy Thiruvothu, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, and many more, across its nine chapters.
