Telugu superstar Jr NTR presided over the success event of the latest comedy-drama Tillu Square and expressed his admiration for Siddhu Jonnalagadda's talents and perseverance, which have helped him to reach where he is today.

Tarak recalled that he became acquainted with Siddhu only in recent years and became his fan after watching DJ Tillu. "With DJ Tillu, Siddhu not only achieved success but also created a character that will remain in our hearts for years. He is no longer a fictional character but a member of our family," Tarak said at the event.

Jr NTR praises Siddhu Jonnalagadda

Siddhu has been working in the Telugu film industry for nearly 15 years now. However, he burst onto the scene with his 2022 comedy-drama DJ Tillu. The blockbuster success of the movie helped Siddhu achieve the much-needed break in his acting career. Besides playing the lead role, Siddhu also co-wrote the film.

Siddhu again co-wrote and reprised his breakout character in the sequel titled Tillu Square.

"I love to laugh. If I start laughing, I don't know how to stop. My directors have faced issues on the sets because of that. But, while watching this film, I laughed so hard that I felt I couldn't laugh anymore. Not just me, he made a lot many people laugh. All their blessings he should get," said Jr NTR.

Jr NTR on Devara

Thanks to the popularity of its predecessor, Tillu Square took a huge opening in cinemas last week and earned more than Rs 100 crore by the end of its first week.

"I always believed that Vishwak Sen (Gaami fame) and Siddhu would play a very instrumental role in taking the industry forward with fresh ideas and content. And looking at them both today, I feel very proud. We need daredevils like these to take the industry to the next level," Tarak said.

Jr NTR has been busy shooting for his upcoming Devara. He was last seen in director SS Rajamouli's global hit RRR, and it has been a long wait for his fans to see him back in action. Without delving too much into his next movie, he promised to deliver a film that would satisfy all their expectations.

"The release of Devara may get a little late, but when it comes out, you will all feel proud. I will dedicate that film to my fans," promised Jr NTR.
