Varun Badola is presently gearing up for the release of his web series, Undekhi 3. After serving on Undekhi as a writer, the actor has joined the star cast in the third installment. He will be seen alongside Harsh Chhaya, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Surya Sharma, among others. Ahead of his show's release, OTTplay sat down for an exclusive interview with Varun. In this conversation, the actor opened up about how social media trolling initially affected him. He further shed light on his social media usage.

Speaking with OTTpaly, Varun Badola admitted he used to get affected by social media trolling earlier. However, the actor doesn't get affected by it now.

The Undekhi 3 actor shared his thoughts on the issue by stating, "It used to affect me initially. Mujhe ye game hi nahi samaj aata tha. Then, somebody asked me, Why are you taking it seriously?' People are relentless and uncool. (Someone once said) Kisi ek insaan ke paas itna vella (free) time hain ki tum khud kuch nahi ukhad rahe ho zindagi mein, par tum har dusre (insaan) ko gaali de rahe ho."

Varun further mentioned, "I use Instagram only when it is necessary. I keep it deleted for 4 to 5 months. I reactivate it when I am back to shooting for a project."

Continuing the conversation, Varun didn't divulge much about his character in Undekhi 3. The actor simply revealed his character is named Rajeev Malhotra in the series. However, his co-star Ankur Rathee mentioned Varun Badola's role is central to the conflict of Undekhi 3's story. "This entire season, he is a central driving force. He has a huge impact on what happens with the Atwals," said Ankur, who will be seen as Daman Atwal in the series.

Directed by Ashish Shukla, Undekhi 3 marks the return of Atwal family: Harsh Chhaya as Papaji, Ankur Rathee as Daman, Surya Sharma as Rinku and Aanchal Singh as Teji. The series will be available for streaming on SonyLIV from May 10, 2024.
