The Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are competing for the championship in the Indian Premier League's final game, the IPL Finals. As RCB was playing, actor Aamir Khan was in the stadium with live commentary in Hindi and Bhojpuri as he prepared for the release of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir is known as a perfectionist when it comes to his movies, so he was asked which cricketer would merit the same moniker.

What Aamir stated

According to Aamir Khan, he saw Sachin Tendulkar as a perfectionist. He believes that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah currently hold the same position.

In case you didn't know, Sachin Tendulkar quit the sport on November 16, 2013. Even where Tendulkar didn't, Kohli improved and took his game to the next level three years after his retirement. The record for the most ODI centuries ever held by Tendulkar was broken by Kohli in 2023. At the moment, Kohli is participating in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In contrast, Jasprit is a right-arm fast bowler who is well-known for his outstanding performance in all three game formats. In the IPL 2025 game against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium, Bumrah recently recorded an incredible 171 wickets, surpassing Sri Lanka and MI captain Lasith Malinga to become the franchise's all-time leading wicket-taker in IPL history.

Concerning Sitaare Zameen Par

Following Laal Singh Chadha, Aamir's Sitaare Zameen Par signals his comeback to the silver screen. It is a spiritual follow-up to Aamir's popular film Taare Zameen Par. Genelia D'Souza and ten other first-time performers join the celebrity in the movie, where he takes on the role of a basketball coach. The sports drama, which is directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, is set for release on June 20.
