In 2004, Gayatri Joshi starred in Swades, which was a Bollywood debut for the ages. Ashutosh Gowariker directed her in the role of Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady. Everyone knew she was the next big thing until her name changed. After marrying billionaire businessman Vikas Oberoi, Gayatri Joshi changed her name to Gayatri Oberoi. She began a lovely family with Vikas, became a creative partner in his real estate enterprise, and never again appeared in a film.

The new video by YouTuber and real estate lover Enes Yilmazer, which was filmed at Oberoi Realty's premier property, Three Sixty West in Worli, Mumbai, features Gayatri Oberoi, the company's director, prominently in the front and center. While Gayatri provides details on what inspires her design decisions and other topics, the YouTuber visits a unique residence on the skyscraper's 45th floor.

The house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and 16,000 square feet of living area. It was available for sale at $50 million (₹400 crore). Immediately off the elevators, the device features a large foyer. Gayatri says in the video that she and Vikas like the 'work' of the house too much to refer to it as such. They both approach every project with zeal.

Gayatri describes how the design integrates Indian resources while yet retaining a modern European/international vibe. One of the main design principles is the use of texture and variations of the same material. The completed unit gives the impression that "you're home," with an emphasis on the way people would live there.

Video lands on Reddit

Reddit also got ahold of the footage of Gayatri's segment from the video. "Bro, her husband is the CEO of Oberoi realty, and his net worth is thought to be around US$4.5 billion," someone wrote. "We'll take it if she gives us a 400 crore discount," another person joked. "Does anybody know how she ended up marrying a billionaire? Did they fall in love after her fame with Swades?," someone asked.

Following a car accident on an Italian highway in 2023 that resulted in the deaths of two Swiss citizens, Gayatri and Vikas made headlines.
