Despite a judge dismissing his $650 million defamation case against Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times, Justin Baldoni has chosen to pursue his legal dispute with his It Ends With Us co-star.

Following the case's dismissal, Baldoni's attorney issued a statement

Let us be clear about the most recent decision, as Ms. Lively and her team's anticipated announcement of victory is untrue, Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman told Variety in a statement. The defamation-related allegations were rejected by the court, but we have been asked to modify four out of the seven charges against Ms. Lively, which will include further evidence and more specific allegations. This case involves retaliation and false charges of sexual harassment, as well as a non-existent smear campaign that Ms. Lively's own staff conveniently describes as "untraceable" because they are unable to prove something that never actually occurred.

Justin Baldoni's $400 Million Suit Against Blake Lively Tossed Out

“Lively's assertions are no more accurate now than they were yesterday.”

“Most importantly, Ms. Lively’s own claims are no truer today than they were yesterday, and with the facts on our side, we march forward with the same confidence that we had when Ms. Lively and her cohorts initiated this battle and look forward to her forthcoming deposition, which I will be taking. The statement went on to say, "We are appreciative of the organic display of public support and the commitment of the Internet sleuth community, which continues to cover the case with discretion and integrity."

Baldoni's case dismissed

Baldoni suffered a significant setback in court on Monday when judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed his defamation claim against The New York Times as well as his countersuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist. The director-actor's $650 million lawsuit, in which they were accused of extortion and defamation, came to a conclusion when the court issued its ruling.
