With 27,474 units sold in June 2025—the most in the company's history—Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) maintained its positive growth momentum in June 2025. This represents a 40% increase year over year from the 19,608 units sold in June of the previous year. It included 1,722 units of exports and 25,752 units of domestic sales, demonstrating the product-driven power in every sector.

The June performance also concluded a successful first half of the calendar year. From January to June 2025, TKM recorded a 47% increase in total sales, selling 1,50,250 units compared to 1,02,371 units during the same time in 2024.

The foundation of Toyota's growth curve is made up of SUVs and MPVs.

The consistent demand for its MPV and SUV models, which have essentially become the cornerstone of its India strategy, has contributed significantly to Toyota's expansion. Toyota's overall reach is expanding thanks to the newer versions, while flagship models like the Fortuner and Innova Hycross continue to contribute significant amounts.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, whose monthly order intake has doubled, has been one outstanding model. Positioned in the small SUV category, the Taisor is offered with a 1.0L turbo-petrol, 1.2L gasoline, and E-CNG powertrain. "Our product offerings, ownership experience, and extended reach have collectively contributed to this momentum," Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service & Used Car Business, said of the performance, which saw record June figures and a strong H1 performance. Our dedication to innovation and relevance is further supported by the increasing popularity of the Urban Cruiser Taisor.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor: Increased reach

Despite the fact that product strength is still the cornerstone of Toyota's expansion, the business is currently expanding its presence beyond metropolitan areas, with a greater emphasis on Tier-2 and rural regions as a crucial component of its demand management. The brand's customer engagement strategy, which includes value-added services and specialized finance packages, has been successful in attracting new customers and securing loyalty.

In addition, new advancements have expanded Toyota's ecosystem. The opening of the Toyota Used Car Outlet (TUCO) in New Delhi under the brand name of "Toyota U-Trust," which is owned by the company, is one such step. The goal of the move is to increase consumer trust in the used vehicle market by guaranteeing quality-tested used cars under the Toyota brand, as well as transparency and convenience.
