With a complicated scheme, ACP Pradyuman returns to CID 2. Although ACP Pradyuman aimed a pistol at Daya and said he didn't know him before pulling the trigger, Daya told his team, which included Abhijeet, that ACP Pradyuman was still alive.

CID 2, which airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m., was launched on December 21. As their favorite TV show returns, fans now have their weekends planned.

Aditya Srivastava, Dayanand Shetty, and Shivaji Satam are returning to their roles as ACP Pradyuman, Inspector Abhijeet, and Inspector Daya. Narendra Gupta, who plays the role of Dr. R. P. Salunkhe, is back in the cast. In the meanwhile, in 2023, Dinesh Phadish, who portrayed Inspector Fredricks "Freddy," passed away. Notably, Parth Samthaan portrays ACP Ayushman, a new character in CID 2. But Parth also said that he will leave the program because of his other job obligations.

Parth told Pinkvilla about his departure, stating, "Even if it's been for a short time, it's been an absolute joy to be a part of a cult show like CID. I simply made a guest appearance for a few episodes before my stay was extended for several months.
