Between August 24 and September 7, the US Open will witness the spectacular comeback of Venus Williams, 45. The tennis genius is the most recent addition to an already impressive mixed doubles roster.

The US Open mixed doubles draw has already been confirmed by a number of well-known players. Among the most noteworthy pairings are Emma Raducanu with Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Navarro with Jannik Sinner, two duos that fans are excited to watch perform. The addition of WTA icon Venus Williams to the roster has now been officially announced, signaling her comeback to Grand Slam tennis after a recent return to the professional circuit. Alongside fellow American Reilly Opelka, the two-time US Open singles champion and two-time doubles champion will compete.

After a significant overhaul, the mixed doubles draw, which currently has a £750,000 prize pool, is what Venus is aiming for. Together with her sister Serena, Venus was a major player in tennis throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

There has been much discussion about her possible return to the US Open. This week, Venus is scheduled to participate in the Washington Open, competing in both singles and doubles, after a 16-month hiatus from the tour.

Venus said upon her return, "Most of the time I don't [accept the offer to play as a wild card]. But I had been striking the ball this time. And naturally, I enjoy the game and the hard courts, which are my favorite surface and where I feel at ease. So, all those various variables.

"I have a strong feeling that I will play well. I haven't changed. I have a strong swing. I scored a lot. My brand is this. It's all about making a big impact and really landing it. Thus, I will make an attempt to place it before the court. That's my primary objective.

Additionally, British celebrity Katie Boulter, who will be competing alongside her fiance and the rest of the globe for the first time, has been verified for the draw. #13 Alex de Minaur. The pair will make their debut as partners in New York after initially being denied admission.

De Minaur had alluded to their desire to play together earlier this summer, saying, "We're definitely going to be keen to try and play if they allow us to." We would certainly be interested if that were a possibility. Evidently, they are far too young to already have a cutoff, thus it is not really the typical set of regulations.

They are now a part of an amazing group of mixed doubles pairings, including Naomi Osaka with Nick Kyrgios, Iga Świątek with Casper Ruud, Madison Keys with Frances Tiafoe, Aryna Sabalenka with Grigor Dimitrov, and Elena Rybakina with Taylor Fritz. The formidable all-American pair of Jessica Pegula and Tommy Paul will be joined by up-and-coming Mirra Andreeva, who will partner with Daniil Medvedev. Taylor Townsend and Ben Shelton, two players who are popular at home, are also anticipated to receive a lot of support.
