As SA20 revealed its schedule for Season 4, reigning champions MI Cape Town will start their title defense with a massive encounter against Durban's Super Giants at the beautiful Newlands on Friday, December 26, 2025. The holiday season in South Africa will begin with a spectacular Boxing Day opening of its premier franchise T20 league, which will offer thrilling, high-octane excitement to fans in India, South Africa, and beyond.

With a unique derby between Pretoria Capitals and Joburg Super Kings taking place at Centurion and Paarl Royals facing off against Sunrisers Eastern Cape at Boland Park in Paarl, December 27, Saturday, marks the first double-header of Season 4. With the east coast location hosting both MI Cape Town (December 28) and Joburg Super Kings (December 30) in the course of a few days, Kingsmead, the home of Durban's Super Giants, will be bustling with activity in the days leading up to the New Year.

December 31, 2025, will see another amazing double-header scheduled for Gqeberha and Cape Town, giving fans the chance to celebrate the New Year in style. The two-time champion Sunrisers Eastern Cape will host the Paarl Royals at the always-joyful St. George's Park, with the anticipation for MI Cape Town and Pretoria Capitals at Newlands later in the day (2100 hours IST) growing.

On New Year's Day, the celebration will go on as Durban's Super Giants and Joburg Super Kings hope to begin 2026 on a positive note at the Wanderers.

“Announcing the fixtures is always a major milestone for us and signals that we are well on our way to another incredible season. The SA20's fourth season will be unlike any other. We have thoughtfully chosen the fixtures to take advantage of the holiday season and school breaks. In our once-off window for this year, we want SA20 to be a part of the holiday season celebrations. League Commissioner Graeme Smith stated, "We're also thrilled to be hosting New Year's Eve and New Year's Day fixtures for the first time, and we can't wait to be a part of the New Year's celebrations with the fans."

He continued, "It's been phenomenal to see how SA20 has resonated with fans in a vibrant cricket market like India. It demonstrates the excitement that SA20 has generated in the country." It's really heartwarming to see Indian supporters follow up on new SA20 players who have improved their abilities in the league, such as Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Wiaan Mulder, and many others. India continues to be a significant market for SA20, and we would want to see more supporters visit South Africa for the games. Without a doubt, they won't be let down.

"The franchises are busy planning their teams behind the scenes, which will be confirmed at the auction on September 9. We're prepared to host the finest international and local talent on our stage.

On January 2, 2026, the action will resume at Boland Park, where Paarl Royals will face their rivals MI Cape Town in a delectable Cape derby, with festivities.

The Paarl Royals will want to build on their outstanding home record from last season, when they won all five of their games there. Amazingly, MI Cape Town accomplished the same thing at Newlands during the same season. The SA20 carnival travels north to the Highveld for a "Super Saturday" doubleheader on January 3, where the Wanderers will see Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape trade blows before Pretoria Capitals and Durban's Super Giants compete at Centurion.

The competition will conclude on January 25, with the Eliminator on January 22, Qualifier 1 on January 21, and Qualifier 2 on January 23. The location of the playoffs and championship game will be announced at a later time.
