India, June 22 — In exchange for Kevin Durant, the Houston Rockets will get Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, the tenth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and five second-round picks, according to an ESPN story. The trade, which has the potential to change the balance of power in the Western Conference, will be completed when the new league year begins on July 6. One of Durant's three favorite locations will be the Rockets, Heat, or Spurs as a result of the move. Under head coach Ime Udoka, who recently signed a long-term extension, he will also be in the company of veteran Fred VanVleet, emerging star Amen Thompson, and 2025 All-Star Alperen Sengun.
Durant, who will be 37 in September, maintains to score at an elite level. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 62 games this season. According to the ESPN report, which used GeniusIQ data, Durant led the league in a number of sophisticated shooting statistics, including the mid-range field goal percentage (53.1%) and the off-the-dribble jumper efficiency (50.9%).
With 52 victories, the Rockets placed second in the West but were among the worst teams in the league at isolation scoring and off-the-dribble jump shooting, two of Kevin Durant's strengths. His arrival in the Rockets will likely move Houston from a playoff hopeful to a legitimate championship contender.
With a huge 2023 deal that didn't bring much playoff success, this marks the conclusion of Kevin Durant's time with the Suns. Despite having the highest wage in the league, the club finished last season with a record of 34-46 and was not included in the playoffs.

With incoming head coach Jordan Ott and new GM Brian Gregory, the franchise is currently in reset mode, according to ESPN.
With Devin Booker, the Suns will have a young and thrilling backcourt thanks to the addition of Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. At 23, Green averaged 21 points per game during a strong season. For the second year in a row, he participated in every one of the 82 contests. Brooks, who is known for his aggressive defense, had a fantastic year, hitting a career-high 39.7% of his three-point attempts and bringing some grit to a Suns club that was attempting to alter its game.
The Suns are also becoming more flexible on the commercial front with their draught selections, as they currently have three first-round picks and eight second-round picks available for trade. Compared to the four first-round selections they traded away for Durant last year, this is a significant shift.
Durant's relationship with coach Ime Udoka, which they developed during their time with the Nets and Team USA, should make his move to Houston seamless.
Of Durant's top choices, the Rockets made the greatest offer, while the Suns decided to start over after a dismal year.
The No. 10 selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, five second-round picks, Jalen Green, and Dillon Brooks were acquired by Phoenix.
Despite turning 37 in September, Durant is still one of the NBA's most productive scorers, averaging 26.6 points the previous season.
The trade will be formal once the NBA's new league year starts on July 6.
