Karun Nair’s Mistake Hands Advantage to England

Karun Nair's return to the Test team after eight years isn't progressing as expected. The right-handed batsman's failure to ignite the crowd and his dismissal in the second innings of the Lord's Test against England caused some shock. At the crease, Nair, 33, looked nice, but inexplicably, he chose to let a straight delivery go, and Brydon Carse's bowling hit him squarely on the pads. The on-field umpire immediately pointed his finger.
The review was ignored by Karun Nair. After hitting 14 runs off 33 balls, he eventually returned to the cabin. Dinesh Karthik, a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, didn't hold back when he called the leave "ordinary" on Sky Sports, adding that he has no idea what Karun Nair was thinking.
Karun Nair's error in judgment occurred on the third delivery of the 13th over. Nair shouldered his arms and was struck on the leg by a nip-backer who hit the batter on the knee.
The dismissal of Karun Nair caught everyone off guard. Playing on the merit of the ball, the batter and KL Rahul seemed to be doing exceptionally well at the crease.
Dinesh Karthik stated in his broadcast that Karun Nair would be limping off, which is a fantastic victory for England. Out of nowhere, he seemed as strong as usual. The ball merely came straight in and didn't do much else. I have no idea what he was thinking. The ball continued to travel in a straight line and did not, as Karun Nair had anticipated, likely move away. "A rather regular leave, with Brydon Carse enjoying it, as it's a crucial wicket."

‘Unusual absence from Karun Nair'
Michael Atherton, the previous captain of England, echoed Dinesh Karthik's view, calling Karun Nair's departure a "strange leave" overall.
After excelling in domestic cricket, the 33-year-old was recalled to the Test team. He was India's No. 6 batter in the Headingley Test. But Karun Nair batted at No. 3 in the subsequent two games, which were played at Lord's and Edgbaston.
Karun Nair has accumulated 131 runs over his six innings thus far, with scores of 0, 20, 31, 26, 40, and 14.
"Karun Nair's departure is quite odd. Since the pavilion end is where Carse is coming in from, you can tell that the ball will run back at you, down the slope, especially toward the conclusion of his at-bat. Therefore, Atherton stated, "It's a strange leave."
"To make matters worse, he'll have a large bruise there in the morning because it hit him on the inside of the pad, so he had to hobble off," he continued.
Former India Test captain Anil Kumble also didn't hesitate to use the phrase "brain fade" to describe Karun Nair during his interview with JioStar after the conclusion of play on Day 4.
"India had a good opportunity; they did a fantastic job of limiting England to 192. Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a bad ball. England has a minor advantage after Karun Nair and Shubman Gill exited. Karun had a fantastic chance, and he did all the labor. Kumble said, "I don't know, maybe it was a brain fade, but he did look good."
Speaking of the Lord's Test between India and England, India finished day four with a score of 58/4 and still required 135 more runs to win. Rishabh Pant will accompany KL Rahul on the last day of the third Test; KL Rahul is undefeated at 33.
