Haris Rauf’s Heated MLC Incident: Threatens to Hurl Ball as Batter Backs Off

During a game between MI New York and the San Francisco Unicorns at the Oakland Coliseum in California, a little mix-up resulted in a humorous moment during the ongoing Major League Cricket. Haris Rauf and Tajinder Singh shared a laugh during the first innings while MI NY was batting and the Unicorns were bowling, as the two players got into a little altercation.

Rauf sent a rapid delivery at Tajinder's pads as he entered the crease in the 15th over and Rauf was steaming in. After requesting LBW, Rauf faced the umpire and then turned back to see where the ball had rolled into his way. Rauf was ready to shoot at the stumps if Tajinder was out of his ground when he picked the ball up fast, but he instead looked up to see the batter exactly in his way.

In case something happened, Tajinder hastily put a hand up to shield himself and backpedalled. Even though Rauf imitated the throwing motion, the bowler kept on to the ball as he released it. However, the incident ended there, with no animosity between the two as they exchanged laughs.

Haris Rauf tops the MLC wicket list

Rauf was seen returning to his mark with a grin on his face, demonstrating that he understood the situation's humor. Rauf would have the last laugh as well, since San Francisco Unicorns, who were facing a target of 183, could thank Xavier Bartlett's amazing batting performance for seeing them through, despite conceding 58 runs in the last five overs to a Kieron Pollard blitz.

The Unicorns were forced to depend on the middle order to cross the line after a top order collapse during the powerplay. Rauf, who was positioned at the non-striker's end when the Australian hitter hit the winning six, backed Bartlett, who came in at ninth place.

Rauf has been instrumental in the Unicorns' success so far, as they have won three straight games to open the season. With nine wickets in only three games, the Pakistan international is now the tournament's leading wicket-taker this year.
