June 14, India The long-anticipated FIFA Club World Cup 2025 kicks off on Saturday, June 14, with Lionel Messi's Inter Miami of Argentina facing Egyptian club Al Ahly in the tournament's opening match at Florida's Hard Rock Stadium.
The tournament, which features 32 teams competing in a World Cup-style expanded format, will be held at numerous locations across the United States from June 14 to July 13. The 2025 edition will feature a total of 63 games.
The tournament will showcase many famous soccer players live in action for almost a month. These include players from 12 European powerhouses, such as Bayern Munich of Germany, Paris Saint-Germain of France, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid of Spain, Inter Milan and Juventus of Italy, Chelsea and Manchester City of the United Kingdom, and Paris Saint-Germain, who won the Champions League in 2025.
In addition to this, there will be ten teams from the Americas, such as Boca Juniors, Flamengo, River Plate, Palmeiras, Botafogo, and Pachuca, as well as Messi's Inter Miami. Additionally, four teams from Asia and Africa and one team from Oceania will all be competing.
The event will be packed with novelties, showcasing a number of the new recruits, like Trent Alexander-Arnold of Real Madrid and Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth.
