June 14 India, The New York Knicks are looking for a new head coach, and an ESPN report says the club and upper management intend to speak with former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown about the position. According to the same report, the meeting will probably take place the following week.

If the meetings take place next week, it will signify the beginning of the New York Knicks head coach position's official interview process. It should be noted that Brown has attempted to enter the field before, having interviewed for the position in 2020.

Although he also impressed, Tom Thibodeau was eventually hired by the New York Knicks. The Knicks' search for a new head coach has not gone as planned, since they have already been rejected by a number of other clubs.

The Dalles Mavericks denied the Knicks' demand to chat with their head coach, Jason Kidd, earlier this week, according to ESPN.

They were also refused permission to talk with Quin Snyder, the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. It's important to note that following Tom Thibodeau's firing last week, the Knicks started their search for a new head coach.

After guiding the club to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years, this decision surprised many supporters.

It's not surprising that the New York Knicks are looking to employ Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins, as they both have impressive resumes.

Brown earned the NBA Coach of the Year award in his inaugural season with the Sacramento Kings in 2022-23, after leading the club to break their 16-season playoff drought, the longest in league history.

During his more than two seasons with the club, he amassed a 107-88 record. However, he was let go halfway through his third season. Brown had formerly managed the Lakers and Cleveland. He has a 455-304 overall record and has reached the playoffs in seven of his nine complete campaigns.

Speaking of Jenkins, who was let off in March, he had coached the Grizzlies since the 2019–20 season. With Jenkins, the team reached the playoffs three times and won one series.
