BCCI Issues Update on Reddy and Arshdeep’s Fitness Ahead of Must-Win 4th Test

Nitish Kumar Reddy, India's all-rounder, will not participate in the final two Tests against England and has been declared ineligible for the remainder of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The squad led by Shubman Gill is presently down 1-2 in the five-game series. But the visitors' training for the forthcoming Manchester Test, which begins on Wednesday, July 23, has been hampered by a lot of injuries.
Nitish Kumar Reddy will now return home after being ruled out due to a left knee ailment, according to the official statement released by the BCCI.
After suffering an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets during a training session in Beckenham, pacer Arshdeep Singh, who has not yet made his Test debut, has been sidelined from the upcoming fourth match against England in Manchester.
In an official statement, the board stated that "the BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress."
The Men's Selection Committee has chosen Anshul Kamboj to join the squad in advance of the fourth Test, which will take place in Manchester. The team in the United Kingdom already has the pacer on board.
India is behind in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
In the Lord's Test, India, captained by Shubman Gill, suffered a devastating 22-run loss, falling behind in the five-match series with a score of 1-2. After India was 112/8 in the chase of 193, Ravindra Jadeja did everything he could to aid the team in making a comeback. But ultimately, Mohammed Siraj was out by Shoaib Bashir, thus it was not to be.
India has preferred to play three all-rounders during the whole series. Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy all played in the same XI during the Edgbaston and Lord's Test. However, with Reddy hurt, India's balance is up in the air, and we must wait to see what the leadership chooses to do next.
It is still unclear if the administration has enough faith in Kuldeep Yadav's skills to let him play, as he has not yet participated in a match. Not taking advantage of his chances, Karun Nair has also failed to get things started.
Considering that Sai Sudharsan was released after only one game, No. 3 is an option for him to try out. If Rishabh Pant isn't physically able to wear the gloves in the Manchester Test, Dhruv Jurel can also join the team as a wicketkeeper.
The revised Indian team for the fourth Test: Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (VC & WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, Anshul Kamboj.
