Jasprit Bumrah has the world in amazement. As the pacer keeps advocating for his team every day, even in tough circumstances, it's understandable that he is now considered by some to be the greatest bowler in the world. In the IPL 2025 Eliminator against Gujarat Titans, Bumrah gave a masterclass for Mumbai Indians, helping Hardik Pandya and his teammates win the game by 20 runs. Bumrah, according to former India pacer Varun Aaron, is a "antidote" who has a cure for every ailment.

Only Bumrah's brilliance allowed the Mumbai Indians, five-time champions, to successfully defend 228 runs against the Gujarat Titans. While Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar were thrashing the bowlers all over the field, Shubman Gill and his teammates were giving it their all.

But Bumrah's third over completely altered the game's dynamic when he demolished Sundar's (48) stumps with a toe-crushing yorker. Unable to reach the leg-stump yorker with his bat, Sundar collapsed to the ground.

This dismissal gave the Mumbai Indians the opportunity to establish a chokehold, which ultimately led to their victory in the game. In his allotment of four overs, Bumrah gave up 27 runs.

“He is like a cure, a vaccine that can treat any ailment that a bowling squad may experience. He comes and gets you wickets if that's what you want. He ends runs for you if you want to end them. "Man, what a bowler," Aaron exclaimed on ESPNcricinfo 'Timeout'.

When the Gujarat Titans were in full gear, Aaron also mentioned the conversation that Bumrah had with Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene at the boundary line. Jayawardene was observed giving Bumrah some instructions throughout the competition, but it appeared that the pacer ignored him and moved away.

"And his faith in his own talents. Mahela Jayawardene is your international coach. He is clearly in a panic since his bowlers have suddenly started to get hammered, but he just turns around and says, "Just calm down, I'll do the job for you." Aaron remarked that he entered, ran in, was struck for a six, and then retrieved the ball.

The exceptional player is Bumrah.

The Mumbai Indians have become a formidable team since Bumrah's comeback, and he has been outstanding in IPL 2025. The Mumbai Indians had been losing games consistently prior to his arrival. But he helped the team win six straight games upon his comeback.

So far, the pacer has taken 18 wickets, and his efforts have propelled Mumbai to Qualifier 2, where they will compete against Punjab Kings for a place in the championship.

Regarding Bumrah's delivery that led to Sundar's dismissal in the Eliminator, Aaron commented, "It's extremely tough for him to bowl from that angle." He finds it simpler to aim for Washington Sundar's leg stump, but more difficult to go wide towards a left-hand batter.

“Washy was preparing for something in his arc or something wide, but it was simply impossible to discuss,” he continued.
