The makers of Nara Rohit’s upcoming film have announced its title Sundarakanda along with the first-look poster that features the leading man in a cool and classy avatar with a plant pot in one hand and a book in the other. The first glimpse has also been released, with Nara Rohit promising to narrate a magical love story. The rom-com is all set to release later this year. 

Sundarakanda release date revealed

Interestingly, along with the glimpse, the makers also revealed that the film will be out on September 6, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi, which falls on September 7. Notably, Sundarakanda is the fifth book in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Hence, it was ideal to release the glimpse on Rama Navami, which has created a positive impression about the movie.

Nara Rohit’s take on love stories

The video opens with Nara Rohit giving a monologue on how there are several love stories, but each has its own magic. He then goes on to give references from popular Telugu romantic dramas such as Allu Arjun’s Arya, Pawan Kalyan’s Kushi and Naga Chaitanya’s Ye Maaya Chesave among others, which have narrated different types of love stories. He then goes on to say that now he will be presenting his slice of love story which will be as magical as every other one.   

The new promo has been receiving much love from audiences who appreciate the actor for his unique way of storytelling. Moreover, it's been a while since we have watched a solid love drama in Telugu and we assume Nara Rohit’s Sundarakanda will be able to deliver that soon!  

Sundarakanda cast

Sundarakanda marks Nara Rohit’s 20th film and is directed by debutant director Venkatesh Nimmalapudi. The film promises to be a fun-filled romantic comedy. The movie is touted to be a love story filled with many beautiful nuances that will resonate with young audiences.  

The film will also star Virti Vaghani as the lead actress, while Sri Devi Vijay Kumar, Naresh Vijaya Krishna and Vasuki Anand will play supporting roles. On the technical side, the cinematography is handled by Pradeep M Varma, while Leon James scores the music.
