The Ramayana is one of the most discussed movies in India right now, and Yash, who is both an actor and a producer, has at last begun filming it. Nitesh Tiwari (Break Point) will be directing it, and it is being written as a multi-part mythological epic. In collaboration with Yash and Monster Mind Creations, Prime Focus Studios, led by Namit Malhotra, will be responsible for its production. You may anticipate seeing Ramayana Part 1 in theaters during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in theaters during Diwali 2027.

Ravana will be played by Yash, who will also serve as the film's co-producer.

Yash, also known as the Rocking Star, will portray Ravana, the legendary story's antagonist. The Kannada celebrity not only co-produces the movie alongside Ranbir Kapoor (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani), who plays Lord Ram, but he also appears in it.

The broad scope and international cooperation of this version of the Ramayana make it unique. The action sequences are being choreographed by Guy Norris, the stunt director for The Suicide Squad and Mad Max: Fury Road. Norris is now in India choreographing elaborate sequences, particularly for the combat scenes in which Yash's role is featured. The majority of the action moments, which are being presented as major movie highlights, center around the actor, according to production insiders.

Yash's rigorous practice for the part of Ravana

It is said that Yash spent between 60 and 70 days shooting the first episode. According to reports, the actor, who is known for his hands-on approach, has been collaborating closely with the stunt and directing teams. Photos depicting him in a physically aggressive and battle-ready stance as he changes into Ravana have already begun to pique curiosity.

The endeavor was regarded by many members of the Indian cinema business as a major turning point for movies that rely on visual effects. In an effort to reimagine the legendary world with a global visual sensibility, the movie is being shot on massive sets by the production crew. It features a big ensemble cast. The production team is aiming for a visually immersive experience backed by cutting-edge technology and design.

Ramayana has the potential to be much more than just a star-driven vehicle because of Yash's participation in a variety of roles, such as co-producer, actor, and creative collaborator. It's an audacious effort to bring Indian mythology to a global audience using film methods.
