The Rathnam trailer is finally here! The makers of the Vishal-starrer have just dropped the trailer of the upcoming action thriller Rathnam, and oh, boy! It's everything you would expect in a Hari directorial! The trailer begins with Samuthirakani saying, ‘what's going on in the Andhra border’. Later Vishal’s character is introduced in the trailer. He seems to be playing an angry young man who is on a mission to save his ladylove, played by Priya Bhavani Shankar. Although not much has been revealed in the glimpse, it is clear from the trailer that the hero is here to rescue his love interest from a gang of goons.

From the first look, the trailer appears to be a mix of Hari’s other films. The director, known for showcasing angry young men who are ready to slash anyone who comes their way, has employed the typical style in this actioner as well. Priya, on the other hand, has obviously not much to contribute, other than playing a flowerpot role. Overall, the film’s premise seems outdated, and the trailer is not as exciting as was hyped.

Vishal gives a shout-out to Rathnam cast and crew

Sharing the trailer of his new film, Vishal took to his social media pages to express his gratitude to the crew behind the upcoming actioner. “And here we go finally. Rathnam OTT partner

Earlier, it was revealed that the upcoming film’s digital rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a decent amount. The film, directed by Hari, will be hence available for streaming on the OTT giant after its theatrical run. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on April 26.
