The Kannada film industry was figuratively taken by storm ten years ago by a rookie squad. In addition to introducing a newbie cast in the form of Anup's brother Nirup, Radhika Narayan, and Avantika Shetty, the film Rangitaranga, which was written and directed by the techie-turned-filmmaker Anup Bhandari, went on to become a surprise hit. The movie, which was produced on a low budget, went on to be the most popular Kannada movie of 2015.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the release of Rangitaranga in theaters on July 3, 2015, and the film crew is bringing it back to theaters to commemorate the occasion. All about Rangitaranga

The tale takes place in Kamarottu, a fictitious hamlet on the Karnataka coast where the author Gautham Suvarna (Nirup) and his wife Indu (Radhika) travel to carry out specific rites in order to protect themselves from bad spirits. However, Gautham embarks on a search for Indu after she suddenly disappears while heavily pregnant. Along with a reporter named Sandhya (Avantika), the two uncover a strange case of missing pregnant women in Kamarottu as well as the enigma surrounding Gautham's history.

After this, Anup brought his third film, Vikrant Rona, back to Kamarottu after Rajaratha, a comedy that flopped at the box office. The movie, which starred Kannada sensation Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role as Vikrant Rona, was set in the Rangitaranga world, where the character was looking into the disappearance of young children in the community. Similar to Rangitaranga, it is said that a Brahmarakshasa is responsible for the strange events, but is this the case?

Billa Ranga Baashaa, a fantasy action movie set 200 years in the future, is the subject of Anup and Sudeep's second collaboration.
