Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's film Mr & Mrs Mahi is all set to hit the theatres on May 31, 2024. The film is inspired by the real-life story of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The makers of the film recently released the second poster of the film, adding fuel to the buzz around the upcoming film, among MS Dhoni fans.

Mr & Mrs Mahi's second poster unveiled

The film is backed by Dharma Productions. Karan Johar on Monday unveiled the second poster of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, and captioned the post, “It’s time to follow YOUR dreams, the field is yours to own! #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas on May 31st, 2024!” The poster features Rajkummar and Janhvi dressed in Indian jerseys with the names, Mahendra and Mahima, written on their respective jerseys.

Karan had earlier unveiled the release date of the film with the official poster. In the caption, the producer called Mr & Mrs Mahi a special film that is very close to the hearts of his team and also announced that the release date is May 31, 2024.

Mr & Mrs Mahi marks the second collaboration between Rajkummar and Janhvi Kapoor with the first being the horror-comedy film Roohi (2021), wherein Janhvi played the role of the ghost. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, who made his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020), Mr & Mrs Mahi is another life story.

After wrapping up the shoot for Mr & Mrs Mahi, Janhvi talked about her experience of working in the film. On her Instagram page, the actress wrote, "It's been two years since I first picked up a bat. And now we’ve finally wrapped Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. I thought I’d wake up today feeling lighter and relieved because we all gave more to this film than we thought was even possible. But I feel kind of empty. Like a blank canvas. I feel like we’ve been to war and back and I saw so many heroes in action."
