With Saiyaara, Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday make their Bollywood debut. The movie, which is the first collaboration between the director and producer, who are well-known for making the best love stories, has received a lot of hype under the direction of Mohit Suri and the production of Yash Raj Films. Saiyara has been giving off Aashiqui vibes from the start, with fans declaring that "this is the real Aashiqui 3," and this has proved to be the case as Mohit just revealed that Saiyara's concept was originally for Aashiqui 3.
In reality, Saiyaara by Mohit Suri was Aashiqui 3
Mohit Suri told Pinkvilla that he had initially considered the notion of producing Aashiqui 3 alongside Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar, which is now known as Saiyaara. Initially, he claimed, they had asked him to create a draught for Aashiqui 3, and at that time, Mukesh and Bhushan were in a better relationship.
"I am aware that their relationship is quite delicate. They occasionally become pals and then they don't. Therefore, I came up with the concept for Aashiqui 3, now Saiyara. However, I was not at ease with their haste and desire to make an announcement. I would rather have a script first before making any announcements. In conclusion, Mohit said that the concept was initially intended for Aashiqui 3.
Mohit Suri was encouraged by Luv Ranjan to create the screenplay
After watching Romantics, Mohit Suri said that Luv Ranjan encouraged him to create this screenplay. Luv Ranjan is mostly responsible for writing the love tale, according to Suri.
"He inspired me to write this script, and at the same time, I observed that some action movies weren't performing as well as I had hoped. The Romantics, which addressed the similarities between the 1980s and today, was then on display. After that, I turned that concept into a full screenplay, Mohit said.
Aashiqui 2 by Mohit Suri

However, the director also said that the original plan for Aashiqui 2 was to feature major actors before Emraan Hashmi, but this didn't work out.
"However, I was prepared to create it regardless, and it was then that Bhushan approached me with the idea of turning this script into Aashiqui 2. After that, Mukesh ji offered me a deal with the title Aashqiui and a bigger budget. Thus, I accepted and produced the movie, he said.
On July 18, 2025, Saiyaara, starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday, will be released in theaters.
