The film Metro In Dino, which stars Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur in the key roles, will be released in theaters soon. One actor who will be sorely missed is the late Irrfan Khan. Now that he has directed the sequel to Life In A Metro, Anurag Basu has disclosed that Irrfan was the one who came up with the idea for the film. He made the following statement:

The idea for Metro In Dino originated with Irrfan Khan, according to Anurag Basu.

The sequel to Life In A Metro was something that Irrfan Khan was eager to see. The film, which was released in 2007 and was an unexpected success, should have a sequel, the actor proposed. "Post Jagga Jasoos, Irrfan and I were discussing a follow-up to Life In A Metro," Basu told News18. Actually, he had inspired me to begin the project. He had suggested that we "make Metro 2." I didn't hear about it until long after the first movie. In addition, the filmmaker ignored media stories regarding Metro 3, stating that there are no current intentions to transform Metro into a franchise or a trilogy.

Irrfan Khan is sorely missed by Konkona Sen Sharma.

Despite the fact that Metro In Dino has an entirely new ensemble, Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor from the original movie to return for the sequel. The actor has frequently said that she misses her co-star Irrfan very much, particularly now that Metro In Dino is set for release, though it is still unclear if her role is reprised.
