Maidaan box office collection day 5 - Amit Sharma's film, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, hit the silver screen on April 11, 2024 (paid previews on April 10). Ajay's Maidaan clashed with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan at the box office. Both movies were released in cinemas on Eid 2024. Ajay's sports drama opened to thunderous feedback from the critics and audiences. It also got a decent opening at the ticket window. However, the film fell flat on day five at the BO.

Maidaan box office report day 5

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Ajay Devgn's Maidaan saw a drop in its box office collection on day five. The movie, which earned around Rs 6.4 crore on day four, managed to mint only Rs 1.50 crore the next day. This is the lowest single-day collection for Miadaan since its theatrical release.

The total box office collection of Ajay's film stands at Rs 23.50 crore. For those who are unaware, the sports drama, based on the life of former Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, got an opening of Rs 7.25 crore (including paid previews).

Maidaan worldwide box office collection

Meanwhile, the makers of Maidaan shared the global box office update on April 15. The total worldwide film collection is Rs 31.86 crore (gross). The cumulative sum, including the day five collection, is yet to be out. It remains to be seen how quickly the Amit Sharma directorial crosses the Rs 50 crore (gross) mark in the international market.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Amit Sharma opened up about how Ajay Devgn readily agreed to do his film, Maidaan. "Ajay sir said yes to Maidaan just by listening to the subject, there were no questions asked. However, I had my doubts about how Ajay Devgn will play the role of Syed Abdul Rahim. We often create an image in our minds, and in my head, his image was of Singham," he said.

The film has been backed by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor.
