Maargan is set to hit big screens on June 27. It marks the first release this year for Vijay Antony. Maargan will be sharing its box office with fellow Tamil film Love Marriage, which will also be releasing on the same day in theatres.

A few days ago, the crew posted the trailer for Maargan. The trailer suggests that Vijay Antony's character is on the hunt for a serial murderer in a mystery thriller. The protagonist is a police officer attempting to apprehend the person accountable for the murder of a burned woman whose body is discovered laying lifeless in rubbish. The movie also introduces us to a young youngster who appears to possess an inexplicable power, and his connection to water adds an intriguing element to the tale.

The detective fiction movie Maargan centers around a senior police officer who is attempting to solve an enigmatic case involving a serial killer with superhuman abilities. However, the killer has a unique characteristic that sets him apart from the rest of the Maargan tale, and how the crime is solved.

In addition to Vijay Antony, Maargan will include notable performances by Samuthirakani, Brigida Saga, Mahanathi Shankar, Prithika, Vinodh Sagar, Deepshikha, Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru Archana, Kanimozhi, and Anthagaram Natarajan. Yuva S and Raja A are the cinematographers for the film, which is directed by Leo John Paul and has Leo John Paul as the art director. In addition to performing in the movie, Vijay Antony will also be writing the music. The edits were also handled by the director.

With a U/A certificate indicating that it has been censored, the movie runs for two hours and twelve minutes.

Maargan's post-theatrical streaming rights have been purchased by Prime Video. Nonetheless, the date of an OTT release won't be revealed until the movie completes its theatrical run.
