One of the most popular Telugu films of 2025 is Kuberaa. With a box office take of a little more than Rs 100 crore, the movie was directed by Sekhar Kammula. OTTplay broke the news that Amazon Prime Video had paid a high amount for the movie's OTT rights.

Specifics of the Kuberaa OTT platform

We had also revealed that, as the deal has been locked at a massive price, the social drama will be out within a month of its release. As per the latest update, Kuberaa will most likely be available for streaming on July 18, 2025. 

The date is now a topic of conversation in film circles, even if there has not yet been an official announcement. Kuberaa was created by Sunil Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, who also sold the post-theatrical rights for exorbitant sums. Kuberaa has also become a very lucrative endeavor because the audio and satellite rights have been sold at record costs.

With Kuberaa, Sekhar Kammula puts an end to his detractors.

For the first time in his career, Sekhar Kammula, renowned for his gentle love dramas, has ventured into social drama and scored. One of the film's highlights is how he chose Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni for their greatest roles.

Kuberaa has done extremely well in Telugu, but the Tamil version did not meet expectations. The likes of Chiranjeevi called the film a masterpiece and stated that Dhanush would surely win a National Award for his performance.

Sekhar Kammula will do his next film under the production of Kuberaa’s makers, and it will also be a big-budget film. For now, all eyes are on the OTT release of Kuberaa, which will surely get a lot of attention.
