Prithviraj Sukumaran, a Malayalam actor, is working on a number of films in various languages. The official launch of Prithviraj's upcoming Malayalam movie Khalifa, directed by Vysakh, has taken place. The movie, which is promoted as a revenge thriller, was first revealed in 2022.

The Khalifa of Prithviraj is initiated

With a pooja ceremony on July 16, 2025, the upcoming Malayalam film Khalifa, which stars Prithviraj in the title role, was released. This movie, which will begin filming in London on August 6, 2025, is being directed by Vysakh.

Earlier reports indicated that the high-budget, mass-market movie will be filmed primarily in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Kerala and Nepal will also serve as filming locations for the movie.

Jinu Abraham, who wrote the screenplay for the film, previously wrote films like Adam Joan and Kaduva, in both of which Prithviraj starred as the protagonist. In addition to being set primarily in Europe, Adam Joan was also directed by Jinu. Khalifa, which will also feature actors from other sectors, is also being co-produced by Jinu. The remainder of the cast information is unknown.

The cinematographer for Khalifa is Jomon T John, the editor is Chaman Chakko, and the composer of the music is Jakes Bejoy.

On Prithviraj's birthday in October 2022, the film was made public. In that year, director Vysakh released two films: "Night Drive" with Roshan Mathew and Anna Ben, and "Monster," which starred Mohanlal. Mammootty's Turbo was his most recent directorial venture.

The last time Prithviraj was spotted was in L2 Empuraan, where he was also the director. In the follow-up to the popular 2019 film Lucifer, Mohanlal starred as the protagonist of Empuraan. In spite of the debates, the movie was a huge success.

The performer is currently preparing for the publication of the Hindi film Sarzameen, which also features Ibrahim Ali Khan and Kajol in major roles. The movie, which will be released on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium on July 25, 2025, is set in the turbulent environment of Kashmir. Prithviraj is also a member of ace Telugu director SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated SSMB29, which features Mahesh Babu in the lead role alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Nissam Basheer's upcoming Malayalam film Nobody, starring Prithviraj and Parvathy Thiruvothu, is another of his projects.
