The highly anticipated second season of Ahammed Khabeer's Kerala Crime Files is scheduled to start streaming in June. On JioHotstar, the second season will begin, featuring a new cast of characters alongside Aju Varghese, Lal, Navas Vallikunnu, and Sanju Sanichen reprising their roles as cops.

In the last week of May, the streaming service released the trailer for the next season of the online series, which will center on the hunt for CPO Ambili Raju.

When and where to watch Kerala Crime Files Season 2

The web series, which is anticipated to feature six to eight episodes, like the first season, will begin streaming on JioHotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi on June 20, according to an exclusive OTTplay report.

Arjun Radhakrishnan, who played significant roles in Rocket Boys, Ullozhukku, and Kannur Squad, will also play the lead role of SI Noble in the next season. The series stars Indran as the missing CPO Ambili Raju, as well as Harishree Ashokan, Noorin Shereef, Shibla Fara, and Jeo Baby in supporting roles.

On June 18, the group intends to hold an exclusive preview event in Kochi for members of the media and film industry. Bahul Ramesh, who wrote the screenplay for Asif Ali's acclaimed film Kishkinda Kaandam, also wrote the script for the second season.

JioHotstar leads Malayalam web series race

Even though many streaming services, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, have been in talks with Malayalam filmmakers about web series, JioHotstar has been creating more web series in the language than any other over-the-top (OTT) platform.

The upcoming Malayalam original series from JioHotstar include Nivin Pauly's Pharma and Jeethu Joseph's Secret Stories: Roslin, in addition to Kerala Crime Files Season 2. Earlier this year, the platform removed the romcom Love Under Construction by Neeraj Madhav and Aju Varghese.
