In accordance with our previous report about the launch of Karthi 29 on Thursday, the producers of the film began its voyage and announced its title. Tamizh will be the director of the movie, which is titled Marshal.

Karthi 29 is Marshal; title poster out

The name of Karthi's upcoming movie, formerly known as Karthi 29, has been revealed by the actor, who is now filming Sardar 2. The movie is currently titled Marshal. With a coastal hamlet serving as the backdrop, the title poster depicts Karthi with his arms crossed. The poster makes no mention of his face or head. The cast and crew of Marshall have been confirmed, as the movie is scheduled to start its trip on Thursday.

Actors Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lal, John Kokken, Murali Sharma, Easwari Rao and others are part of the film. Nivin Pauly was rumoured to be cast in the film, but his name did not appear for now. Directed by Tamizh who made his debut with Taanakaaran, the film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabu under Dream Warrior Pictures.

Sai Abhyankkar scores for one more biggie:

Young and happening musician Sai Abhyankkar is bagging one big film after other. He will be scoring for Marshal as well. He has released four indie singles so far, and is already part of five prestigious projects, including Suriya-starrer Karuppu, Malayalam film Balti, Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude, STR 49 with Simbu, and LCU film Benz.

The technical crew of Marshal includes camera cranked by Sathyan Sooryan and Philomic Raj handing the edits. The production design is by Arun Venjaramoodu. A release date for Marshal has not yet been announced. It is expected to be a period gangster action drama.

Meanwhile, Karthi is part of Sardar 2 with PS Mithran, and has Kaithi 2 with Lokesh Kanagaraj. He also has Va Vaathiyar with Nalan Kumarasamy due to release.
