The makers of Indian 2, the upcoming Tamil film starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, released a new poster featuring actor Siddharth for the occasion of the actor's birthday on Wednesday. Indian 2 is directed by S Shankar and is scheduled to release in June.

In a very colourful poster, Siddharth is seen sprinting with a joyous face against the backdrop of Indian 2 makers wishing him a happy birthday. Siddharth is one among the star cast featured in Indian 2, which also includes SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar, among others.

Indian 2 is directed by filmmaker Shankar with the film serving as a sequel to the 1996 film Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan in dual roles. The vigilante action film follows a former freedom fighter taking law into his hands in order to erase corruption in society. The upcoming sequel is backed by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. After a lot of production and financial delays, Indian 2 will hit theatres in June, with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music.

Siddharth’s upcoming line-up

Siddharth was last seen in Chittha, the 2023 critically acclaimed film which threw light on sexual abuse of children. The actor had also produced the film. He will also be seen in The Test, helmed by producer Sashikanth in his maiden directorial. The cricket-based film also stars actors Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine in prominent roles. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

On the personal front, Siddharth recently announced that he is engaged to fellow actor Aditi Rao Hydari, with whom he shared the screen space in Maha Samudram. The duo will be seen onscreen in a Telugu film titled Harilo Ranga Hari, which was announced by Netflix earlier this year.
