Family Star is Vijay Deverakonda's latest release, which has ended as a massive flop at the box office. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, the family drama has not even made Rs 20 crore at the box office to date. Producer Dil Raju is looking at massive losses with Family Star.

Family Star OTT rights details

The star producer made headlines when he slammed the critics for bashing the film as old school. On the other hand, it is a known fact that Amazon Prime Video has bagged the OTT rights to the film. We at OTTplay have come to know that the popular platform will stream Family Star from May 3, 2024.

The word is also that Amazon Prime is in talks with Dil Raju for an early OTT release, and we need to see if the date changes in the days to come. Amazon Prime has shelled big bucks to bag the digital rights of Family Star, and as the film has ended as a flop, we need to see how it fares when it is out on OTT.

Family Star fails to click at the box office

Parasuram has directed Family Star which also had Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The chemistry between the lead pair was supposed to be one of the highlights, but that did not happen, and Vijay Deverakonda was slammed for his over-the-top performance.

Dil Raju tried hard to keep the film in the news during the release, but as Family Star started with a negative right from the US premieres, things went downhill for the film, making it one of the biggest flops in Vijay Deverakonda's career.

Dil Raju was also trolled for backing such an old-school subject, and that too with such big stars. Post the release of Family Star, Vijay Devarakonda has yet to face the media, and his fans want to see what his response is regarding the failure of Family Star. He will next be seen in a cop drama that will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
