Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, directed by Samarth B Kadkol, is Diganth Manchale’s next release, which will be in theatres on June 13. The dark comedy film also stars Dhanu Harsha, Nidhi Subbaiah, Sourav Lokesh, Krishna Hebbale, with Radhika Narayan and Nirup Bhandari in cameos. Ahead of the film’s release, the team revealed the trailer, offering a glimpse into the life of Diganth’s character Lohit Rajesh, a techie, who’s day-to-day fights are all about surviving in a world designed for right-handers. Lohit, you see, is a left-hander, who has grown up to insults about eating and washing his behind with the same hand.

A night of mishaps unfold when a leftie makes a mistake

The trailer opens with a voice-over by the protagonist, as he introduces himself and that he’s got 4 murders and one accident case registered against him. When a natural leftie tries to do what doesn’t come naturally to him – use his right hand – accidents are bound to happen, he reckons. And that’s what happens one fateful night to Lohit, when he rings a calling bell and the wrong door opens.

Due to the original producer quitting the initiative just a few days into production, the film has been in development for some time. It seems to be a fun ride after all, and it's now ready to be released. In the film's promotional interviews, Diganth, who is well-known for his role in Manasaare, had stated honestly that Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana is a film with a novel subject that will truly appeal to audiences of all ages, but that it is not an exceptional picture.

“We have attempted to cover all the aspects that will provide audiences with complete enjoyment during the course of the 2-hour runtime. Beyond the story, plot, and acting, the music—especially the background score—and the camerawork will be highlights,” said Diganth. Since last year's Laughing Buddha , when Diganth played a thief, a role that was originally intended for Rishab Shetty, Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana is his first release.
