Did Shalu Jump or Was She Pushed? Chhal Kapat’s Ending Questioned

The murder case of Shalu, who was at one of her childhood friends' weddings with two other pals, is the subject of the crime thriller series Chhal Kapat - The Deception on ZEE5. Following Alisha and Jugal's engagement party, Shalu was discovered dead, floating above a pool. After that, SP Devika Rathore arrived at the location and started her inquiry. Amid the probe, what appeared to be a suicide quickly turned into a murder. Who killed Shalu, though? Let's figure it out!

The Conclusion of the Deception, or Chhal Kapat, Is Explained

The Deception lives and breathes Shriya Pilgaonkar's SP Devika's investigation of Shalu's murder right from the beginning. The bride-to-be is Alisha, and she has three friends: Ira, Shalu, and Mehek. Ira and Mehek are married, but Shalu is single and has a sizable following on social media. It's worth noting that Mehek's spouse is the son of a well-known politician.

Everyone was welcome to Alisha's wedding. Apparently, Shalu, who is one of Alisha's close friends, does not get along well with Ira and Mehek, and they are often at odds over silly matters.

However, the atmosphere of the wedding house suddenly becomes gloomy after Shalu passes away. After that, Vikram, Mehek's spouse, notifies SP Devika, who starts the inquiry. In the meantime, Alisha's ex-boyfriend, Rohan, and Shalu's assistant, Sapan, are the other two personalities. In the course of the inquiry, Devika learns that Rohan texted Shalu to ask for the address of the wedding location so that he could come and call off the ceremony because he is still in love with Alisha.

Following an argument, Shalu gave him the address, and Rohan arrived, at which point the situation shifted, and the connection between Alisha and Jugal, her potential husband, began to break down.

In the midst of the investigation, there are shocking revelations.

Devika discovers from the lab test during her investigation that Shalu was 2-and-a-half months pregnant and that she had gotten into a fight with a woman prior to entering the pool. Ira, Alisha, and others were unaware of this. However, Mehek is aware of this and keeps it a secret from Devika. Mehek appears strange from the start, and Devika sees a scar on her neck that indicates that she has a strained relationship with her husband, which is worth mentioning here.

One unexpected discovery is that Vikram, Mehek's husband, is the father of Shalu's unborn kid. Devika rushes to detain him when she finds out, but he has already fled the area with his wife, Mehek. But in the middle of his journey, he was taken into custody and taken to the police station.

The Last Call

Devika questions Vikram and Mehek. Mehek tells Devika during the interrogation that she was aware of Shalu's pregnancy and that Vikram was the father, but that she was unable to have a kid with him. Mehek also tells Devika that Vikram physically abuses her at home. Mehek and Shalu used to fight because of jealousy, and after the engagement party, Mehek's patience knew no bounds.

Knowing that Shalu can't swim, she urges her towards the pool after giving her a dessert laced with drugs. From behind, Vikram saw everything. Vikram uses his authority to vow to Mehek that he will turn the event into a suicide in order to mask the truth. At the conclusion, however, the reality is revealed.

The ending of Chhal Kapat - The Deception seems abrupt and poorly executed. However, the plot is interesting and keeps you hooked to the end.

Meanwhile, Chhal Kapat - The Deception, directed by Ajay Bhuyan and produced by Juggernaut Productions, is streaming on ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium.
